James Stone

Managing Director

James is an experienced renewable energy developer, having worked in the energy industry since 2011. To date, he has worked on the development of over 1GW of energy projects across solar PV, wind, anaerobic digestion, energy storage and gas to power technologies, gaining extensive experience in progressing the development of utility-scale energy projects from site origination through to financial close.

 

Prior to joining Anglo Renewables, James had worked for a number of developers including Renewable Connections, Push Energy, the Farm Energy Partnership and a joint venture with a German EPC, ib vogt.

 

James is highly adept at steering projects through every stage of the development life cycle and will utilise these skills to deliver Anglo Renewables' pipeline of projects.

 

James holds a first-class degree and Masters in Environmental Science and Management from the University of York.

Keir Spiller

Technical Director

Keir worked for one of the UK’s largest Distribution Network Operators (DNO) UK Power Networks, where he progressed from Project Designer carrying out low voltage and 11,000KV designs and delivery through to delivering commercial projects across 33kV and 132kV networks. During this time Keir worked alongside multiple solar and renewable developers project-managing circa 500 MW of connections.

 

In 2015, Keir left UK Power Networks and moved to a new role as Head of Grid at Solar Century, one of the UK’s oldest solar developers. Keir delivered 125MW of solar farm connections including some requiring Active Network Management. He left Solarcentury in Spring 2016 to set up his own consultancy. The consultancy focused on delivering grid connections for low carbon technologies and renewables and was responsible for identifying pockets of grid capacity throughout the UK and then submitting and managing the grid application process, staying involved in the projects through to energisation and commissioning.

Duncan Howie

Land Director

Duncan is an experienced land agent, having worked at a national surveying firm for five years before setting up his own consultancy in 2016. He advises landowners, farmers, investors and developers in relation to general rural professional matters including land management and development. He specialises in rural agency both in the traditional purchase and sale of land as well as being involved in specialist site-finding services for renewable and non-renewable energy clients.

 

He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.

Norman Paske

Chairman

Norman is a Rural Practice Chartered Surveyor who qualified in 1987. He has considerable experience both as an advisor and as a businessman in various development sectors. He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.
