We are thrilled to announce the successful sale of our Battery Energy Storage Site (BESS) in South Staffordshire. With an impressive capacity of 128.8 MW, it marks a significant step in advancing energy management and grid stability in the UK.
The project was initially extended from 100MW to 128.8 MW, to deliver more energy to power homes and businesses, reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable energy use. It is expected to achieve commercial operation by the end of 2025.
James Stone, Managing Director at Anglo Renewables, states "We are thrilled to see this project now go forward into construction and start delivering benefits. South Staffordshire Council were extremely proactive in supporting and consenting to these projects, contributing to the UK's Net Zero objectives. We look forward to witnessing the continued progress of the project in the coming months."
